My brother and I were caregivers for my mother
who had Alzheimer’s Disease. After my mother died,
we realized how much we didn’t know and what
might have helped her. We did not know what
resources were available to her or to us as
caregivers. I became involved with the Alzheimer’s
Association and began to pursue a Masters in
Gerontology at Webster University. My goal
was to help other families to fare better than we did.
- Diane Keefe
This is why I decided to enter this caring field!
